Rocky Grass Festival

July 26-28, 2006

 
It was the first time that we've ever gone to the famous Rocky Grass. Joel, Travis, and I each signed up to work. They gave us a 4 hour shift all three days of the festival. It was easy work, and there was a speaker right next to where we worked, so we could hear the stage. We camped, and had a very nice spot under a tree. (We were glad because it was hot all weekend!) The campground that we stayed at was about 1/2 mile from the festival. We walked that 1/2 mile so many times over three days!!
   

 

 

They put us to work checking the crowd for wristbands. Here's a picture of Travis and Buzzard hard at work.

 

 
Buzzard and his new friend helped Joel a bit also. Hannah and Laura got to know Buzzard and his chick.
Ah...finally off work! Time to enjoy concerts! A little Tim O'Brien...oh yeah.

Joel found the greatest place to sit...he put his chair on this stump, above the crowd, in a nice, reclining position. It was perfect!!
